چکیده

In the 2007 Niigataken Chuetsu-oki earthquake, soil settlement, considered to be a result of relative displacement between and structure, occurred alongside buildings at Kashiwazaki–Kariwa nuclear power plant. The objective this study is evaluate accurately influence nonlinear behavior soil-structure interface on response reactor building using three-dimensional finite element model. To achieve this, we modeled separation sliding from sidewalls during severe earthquake joint elements, evaluated effect horizontal structure. Through interaction analyses based recorded seismic data foundation for unit 7 model, it was confirmed that simulated responses corresponded data. addition, comparison cases with without revealed reduces embedment effects structure reduction causes an occurrence uplift. Moreover, in study, clarified increase uplift affected both pressure characteristics beneath along sidewalls, maximum acceleration structures. had only limited structural responses; however, under excitation, expected will significantly reduced due soil. Therefore, precise evaluation including should excitation.

Dynamic Analysis of Nuclear Reactor Considering Soil Structure Interaction

In this research paper, the dynamic analysis of complicated structures like nuclear reactor building has been done by considering the site specific response analysis. Analysis is done with and without considering the soil stiffness. First a Nuclear Reactor is considered which is resting on the ground surface and site specific ground response analysis for obtaining free field response of soft so...

3D-Analysis of Soil-Foundation-Structure Interaction in Layered Soil

The analysis of building structure in contact with soil involves an interactive process of stresses and strains developed within the structure and the soil field. The response of Piled-Raft Foundation system to the structure is very challenging because there is an important interplay between the component of building structure and the soil field. Herein, soil-foundation-structure interaction of...

Earthquake Analysis of Base Isolated Structures Including Soil-Structure Interaction

A frequency domain dynamic analysis is needed to obtain the response of structures constructed on a system of base isolators on flexible soil when subjected to earthquake ground motion. In such systems, the lateral stiffness of the base isolators is so small, compared to the structural stiffness, that in an earthquake attack the fundamental vibration mode dominates the response. With this in mi...

Soft Soil Seismic Design Spectra Including Soil-structure Interaction

Design spectrum is known as an essential tool in earthquake engineering for calculation of maximum (design) responses in a structural system. Soil-structure interaction (SSI), as a phenomenon of coupling of responses of a structure and its underlying soil, was explored after introduction of design spectra and has not been taken into account in developing a design spectrum traditionally. To cons...
